Michigan Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCE) benchmarks/standards provide the guidelines to ensure students receive the necessary curriculum to progress successfully. The social studies benchmarks are located at www.michigan.gov/glce. Lecture, the use of the Glencoe text, class discussion, collaborative and project learning, as well as other activities including the utilization of coordinating web site lessons, apps, content related videos, outside reading sources, and PowerPoint/Prezi presentations will be implemented throughout the year to follow these benchmarks.
